Impressionist artists are celebrated for their beautiful depictions of nature, but they also frequented the cafes, bars and nightclubs of Paris and captured modern life in their works. This program will explore the images by Monet, Renoir, Degas and others and consider how the hub of activity in Parisian cafes inspired some of the world’s most famous artists.

Jane Oneail is an independent scholar and holds a master’s in Art History from Boston University and a master’s in Art in Education from Harvard University.

This eight part European Art Series is generously funded by the Nash Fund.

Advance registration is required for this Zoom event. Details to follow.
