This event is part of the 2025 Burlington Public Library Mystery Festival - Sleuthing in the Stacks! This series of events is made possible by a generous grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Friends of the Burlington Public Library, and individual donors celebrating all things mystery!

For the first time at the Burlington Public Library, there will be a murder...and it will be up to you, the savvy patrons, to solve it!  Join us for an exciting after hours theatrical event - Burlington Abbey performed by History At Play™.  This immersive experience will come with a pasta dinner, full show, and selfie photo opportunity (so Victorian-era costumes are highly encouraged!).

Details:

• This is an after hours event geared towards adults and older teens.  The doors will lock promptly at 7PM so be sure to be on time.
• This event is FREE and we will accept donations for the Friends of the Burlington Public Library.
• 75 spots will be open for this event on the date registration opens.  We will select roughly 25 more attendees from the waitlist, so if you don't get in right away, ensure you add yourself to the waitlist.   One way to get off the waitlist could be attending our Wednesday event, She Can Do It! - we are setting aside some extra space in the Murder Mystery Dinner for those that attend this other exciting festival event.
• When registering, you will be asked if you're coming in costume AND if you know the secret word.  What is the secret word?  Search our Facebook account OR website...that's all we're telling you!  Both of these responses could make you eligible for a special prize!  It is okay to say "no" to both, but where's the fun in that?!
• Those that secure a spot in this event but do not attend without notice may be prevented from registering for future events.
